  • Curtis Jeré is actually a pseudonym for the design team of Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels. They founded the company Artisan House in 1963, aiming to create "gallery-quality art for the masses". Their works range from representational to highly abstract, and they are known for their decorative wall sculptures made from materials like enamel, brass, copper, and steel.

Freiler and Fels were brothers-in-law who had previously built a successful costume jewelry business before venturing into metalwork. Their sculptures were distributed by Raymor, a cutting-edge studio in New York City, and retailed at high-quality emporiums like Gump's in San Francisco
